Fitness Doesn't Have To Be Jeopardized By A Busy Schedule.

As the saying goes, time is precious, and as busy people we find ourselves trying to find as much time as we can. A common question we ask ourselves is, “how can I even begin to think of fitness when I have a million things on my mind?...meetings I have to go to, emails to respond to, kids that need to be picked up after school, and projects that need to be turned in before midnight.”
I understand, making time for everything is a day-to-day struggle we face, but introducing fitness into your life doesn't have to take much of your time; just enough can drastically improve so much of your day, which can help you perform better in your career and personal life.
Here are 3 helpful tips to follow to make time for fitness with a busy schedule.
EMBRACE THE RUN COMMUTE
If you have to commute for work, walk to the bus or train, take advantage of getting in as many steps as you can daily by taking public transportation, you won't even have to worry about parking or gas either, so it’s a win-win! If you work from home, it’s important to get your steps in as well, take your break or lunch break by walking around your neighborhood or local park. Just getting enough steps in whenever you can greatly impact your cardiovascular health and can even help improve your overall endurance.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

You don’t need a gym or fancy equipment to stay fit, you can stay fit by working out anywhere, honestly! It all counts from stretching at your workspace or taking 10-15 minutes to do bodyweight exercises like HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). If you do have a gym membership or equipment at home, use it to your advantage! You don’t need to spend 1-2 hours working out, you can simply stay fit by integrating 10-15 minutes a day into your schedule.
BLOCK TIME IN YOUR CALENDAR
Lastly, block a time to workout in your calendar, similar to scheduling an important meeting, but with your health. Make it easier on yourself by keeping your workout clothes or gym bag near you. A common excuse we tell ourselves is that there isn’t enough time, but by blocking a time in your calendar, you won’t have to think about finding the perfect time to workout. Also, keeping your gym clothes ready-to-go will set up a good environment to make the decision to work out much easier.

Staying fit doesn’t have to be something you dread or something that takes a big portion of your time. If you stay consistent, maintain a regimen, you are on the right path. Your fitness journey shouldn't feel like a chore, by changing our perspective on fitness and seeing the benefits that it can bring to our lives, fitness will always find its way into our busy schedules.
